Cheese & Sausage FUNdraiser

Hey guys!

We started our “Cheese & Sausage” fundraiser last Friday (Sept 27) with our 7th – 12th grade band students.  Order forms are due on October 12th.

Why do we fundraise?

To raise money to support all the things that we do as a band!  We don’t get down the road during marching band season, supply the students with quality equipment, and go on band trips without the support of our fundraisers throughout the year.  This is a BIG, BIG, BIG part of being in the band program.

What do I get out of it?

Ok, so the goal for each student is the benchmark of selling 15 TOTAL items…  That will pay for Solo & Ensemble (our January project), and instrument cleaning kits (for 7th & 8th graders).  In addition to paying those 2 items off, the students receives a 5 lb. bag of Gummi Bears…  Yes, you read that correctly.  15 items also allows the students to be eligible to go on our field trip to Bands of America (BOA) Grand National Championships on Friday, November 15th.  We will be out of school all day, while we watch marching bands from across the country compete in the marching band national championships at Lucas Oil Stadium.  This is always a great time!

So, recap of if I sell 15 items:

  • Solo & Ensemble PAID
  • Instrument cleaning kits PAID
  • 5 lb. bag of Gummi Bears
  • Eligible for BOA Trip

If they can sell up to 30 items, their BOA ticket is PAID for.  They would also receive headphones as an additional prize.

If they can sell up to 40 items, their lunch at BOA is also free.

If they can sell up to 50 items, they will receive a Nike gym bag, and a pair of Nike Elite socks (in addition to BOA)!

Lots of great work so far!  Keep it up!  The goal is a filled bus to BOA!
