...That during the 1997 marching season, the
Pride of Paoli went undefeated.  The Pride of Paoli  never finished lower than first in any competition, including State!

...That the Pride of Paoli has TWO STUDENTS that participated in the Indiana All-State Orchestra?  Erin Hall (clarinet) and Emma Meyer (trombone) are the first students from the Pride of Paoli to be chosen since Mindy Lambdin (trombone) in 1989-90.

 ...That the Pride of Paoli used to be the PAOLI MARCHING RAMS?  
The name change occurred in 1981.

...That the Pride of Paoli's BUZZARD, named Phoenix, is over 25 years old!!  Originally created for the 1978 Paoli Senior Prom "Dust in the Wind", Phoenix was recently discovered by a band booster and restored to sit on a rock during the Pride of Paoli's 2003 Show "CANYON".

...That the Pride of Paoli hosted the 22nd Annual Pride of Paoli Invitational 
on September 13, 2003?

...That the Pride of Paoli is the most victorious band 
in ISSMA history with 14 State Titles?

...That the Pride of Paoli is tied with Ben Davis High School (Class A) 
with 5 consecutive State Titles?

 ...That the Pride of Paoli has been picked at the State Finals by 
all six judges more than once?

...That the Pride of Paoli is the FIRST band to win the Finals in one class and move up a class the next year to win again?  Avon did it in 2002 and 2003.

...That the Pride of Paoli's 2003 State Title was the 11th for Director Bill Laughlin and the 12th for Director Gayle Laughlin?

...That the Pride of Paoli performed at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California?  In order to make the trip, the Pride of Paoli 
raised $119,000!  Their fundraisers even included a 
Tanya Tucker concert on the Fourth of July!

...That the Pride of Paoli performed in Rome, Asissi and Verona 
during their 2001 trip to Italy?

...That the Pride of Paoli earned the right to compete at the 
1994 State Finals after a BUS CRASH on the way to Regionals?
There were 17 holes in the show that day.

...That the Pride of Paoli fluctuates frequently between
Class C and Class D?

 ...That the Pride of Paoli's 2002 and 2003 staff was comprised 
mostly of former students?

 ...That the Pride of Paoli finished dead last at District in 1980 
and had the worst score in the state due to a penalty?
